Thursday proved a good bounce back day with 2 possible bets both winning. Unfortunately though the second horse just failed to reach the required price needed. The first bet Pleasurina won very easy and paid a very juicy $4.80 . Speedonince was assessed as a $7 chance but unfortunately just failed to reach that price but won in the last bound.
Profit sits at $460 for the year now
With 4 possible bets at Canterbury we struck a string of unlucky events. Kicking the day off was Rosemerta who at $6.50 got out to a amazing price but unfortunately she raced against her normal pattern and only ran 3rd. Our Second bet Above All was ridden a treat by Australia;s best jockey in Nash Rawiller but approaching the turn after getting a gem of a ride- just couldn’t get out. The $4.80 we got was an amazing price but unfortunately he never got clear running until too late and whilst unplaced he looked a good thing beaten . Our 3rd selection on the day was Equable and having achieved $2 of value @ $7 he ran out of condition late and ran 3rd again. Not all was lost though as our last selection paid a healthy $3.60 and won easily .
This means our profit for the year falls back to $60
The first betting day of the new year has seen members start off with a profit. Thanks to a well judged ride by Kathy Ohara ( who has let us down in the past) on Straight Albert who paid a wonderful $7 and some members reported getting as much as $8.20. Just 30 minutes earlier our bet on BY THE WAY went down by a whisker to lets Be Happy and the $8 that By The Way ran at would have provided a big day of profit.
Therefore 2012 professional package members are in profit of $100 to start the year off
